PMYC Sailing School 2026 – Celebrating 45 Years!
Monday, June 22 - Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (no weekend classes)
Registration opens at 8:00p.m. on April 1 for members and April 15 for non-members
For the FUN of sailing! Port Madison Yacht Club Sailing School has been training the next generation of sailors since 1981, fostering confidence, discovery, and independence while building a strong community of skilled sailors.
This summer marks our 45th year, and we’re excited to welcome a crew of new sailors as well as seasoned sailors looking to grow their skills or spend extra time on the water before the summer regatta season.
DEVELOPMENT
Whether you’re brand new or love to explore, cruise, or race, our focus is always the same: the fun of sailing. Our approach blends skill development with adventure driven learning, helping every sailor grow their knowledge, build confidence, and feel at home on the water.
COMMITMENT
Sailing School runs 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 22 to Wednesday, July 1 (no weekend classes). Participants should plan to attend the full session and minimize vacations and/or non-essential appointments, which disrupt on-water instruction for other sailors.
REQUIREMENTS
Classes are open to ages 8-15+. A Bainbridge Island Parks & Rec swimming license or equivalent is required. We will host an information meeting for new Sailing School parents on Tuesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the PMYC Clubhouse.
COSTS
Tuition is $400 for members and $450 for non-members. Boats are available to rent for $100.
