Welcome to the PMYC Jr. Sailing Page! 

Our Two Main Goals:

  • Provide accessibility to racing, coaching, and club boats.
  • Increase junior involvement in club activities including recreational sailing, junior specific social gatherings, and work parties.

PMYC Jr. sailors have a blast together as we develop friendships and sailing skills. 


Events:

Port Madison Yacht Club supports an active junior sailing program. Our Jr. sailors and advisors invite you to join us for any of our events! There are many sailing and social activities that occur during the year:

  1. PMYC Sailing School
  2. Harbor dinghy sails & race team practices (weather permitting)
  3. Friday evening dinghy racing (April - July)
  4. Easter Egg Hunt & Balloon Chase (in dinghies)
  5. Annual Pirate Treasure Hunt (Summer)
  6. Little Equalizer Team Racing Challenge (Jrs. vs. Srs.)
  7. NW Youth Racing Circuit (PMYC hosts the John Adams Memorial Regatta – JAM): http://www.nwyouthsailing.org/nwyrc.html
  8. Bainbridge Island High School Sailing Team (many of our high school Jr. members race fall and spring on the BIHSS team)
  9. Holiday pizza party & white elephant gift exchange
  10. Social outings & adventure cruises organized by the Jr. officers and advisors
