On this Tuesday, April 28th, at 6pm in the clubhouse, we will hold the PMYC Jr Race Team 2026 kick off meeting. I’d like every current and aspiring junior sailor, and at least one of their parents, to come whether they are members or not. Please pass this along to anyone you think might be interested. Also, please forward this email to everyone participating in Sail School, including everyone on the wait list.
At the meeting, we will discuss the following about the Jr Race Team season:
The Jr Race Team season runs from Tuesday June 16th through Sunday, August 30th, plus the season finale Octoberfest regatta on 2-13 September. Practices will generally be every Tuesday and Friday afternoon for three hours, and we will prioritize five regattas throughout the summer. There are flexible participation options to facilitate summer vacations and other obligations.
The kick off meeting is appropriate for any youth sailor who has an interest in racing, whether they have experience or not. We will pass a lot of information about being on the Jr. Race Team and various ways young sailors can learn to sail and prepare for racing, including PMYC Sail School and BIMPRD sailing programs.
This season is shaping up to be a great one. Please come find out what you could be a part of!
