Sailing school dates have changed to Tuesday, June 24 -- Thursday, July 3 (excluding weekend) to account for the 2024-2025 school year make-up days. Opti Beginner Class Registration (Limit: 10)

An introductory program that teaches the basics of sailing in a fun and safe environment. Using interactive lessons, sailing-themed games, and plenty of on-water time, sailors in this program will learn: the parts of the boat, proper rigging, points of sail and safe boat handling. Beginner sailors will become confident sailing around hidden cove while working the mainsheet and tiller. Class size is limited to ten (10) students. Once the maximum is reached, sailors will be added to the waitlist.

Participation Checklist (complete before Friday, June 20):

• Complete Online Class Registration
• Submit Online Payment for Sailing School Fee
• Submit Online Payment for Boat Rental Fee (if applicable)
• Complete Sailing School Waivers
• Complete Boat Rental Release (if applicable)
• Submit signed waivers and release form to Sailing School Registration 
• Secure BI Parks Swim License (if applicable)
