Shared Keelboat Information Night April 14, 2023 - 7 PM - Seabold Hall
Wondering what’s been happening with the club-owned keelboat program? There is big news to share, so much so, that the club has scheduled a special event just to cover it. The program vision, logistics, and fees will be shared, along with the reasoning behind choosing the J/70 sailboat. Rest assured this program has been designed from the ground up as an addition to sailing opportunities at PMYC. It's designed to work with minimal impact on current club operations, budgets, and wait lists. Our goal is to create a new era of daysailing, training, and one-design racing, right here at home.
This new fleet will be available to qualified skippers on an economical yearly subscription plan basis. We intend to start with two club-owned boats, and will be using this meeting to communicate the overall plan, to generate excitement, and to actively pursue the users/subscribers that we need for a successful launch. Further, we will discuss the vision for fleet growth, and paint a picture of a new and exiting sailing future here at PMYC.
While the local J/70 movement exploded first with the Orcas fleet, the whole PNW is now joining the fun. With your support, our own PMYC will have these great club-owned boats ready for your use and enjoyment.
