PMYC is happy to have John Demeyer as our Race Committee Chair for 2010. John’s committee has an exciting racing agenda for 2010 and we look forward to your participation!
The Big Boat Racing Schedule is set for 2010 with the first race—the Jim Depue Memorial—coming right up on February 27. There will again be an Opening Day Race April 24 and the Fal Joslin will be in mid-June. We have a “3 Clubs Race” set for August 21 which will involve the 3 Bainbridge Island Yacht Clubs—PMYC, Eagle Harbor YC, and Bainbridge Island YC. The start will be off Pt Monroe and finish off Wing Pt with a post race Bar-B-Que to follow at BIYC. The finale for the 2010 season will be the ever popular Round The Island Race on Sept. 25-26.
The races will be scored individually but also as a (PMYC) series with two day races counting as two races in terms of the series for a total of seven with one throw out. It’ll definitely pay off to make all five races to do well in the 2010 series.
