Blake Island Shakedown & Shrimp Cruise! May 7th & 8th
Yes it is time to kick off the cruising year with one of our favorite cruises, The Blake Island Shakedown and Shrimp Cruise. We plan this cruise each year around the every shrinking Puget Sound Shrimp season and enjoy the bounty of the waters we sail. However, the Department of Fish and Wildlife has thrown us another curveball with a delay in the shrimping schedule so we will have a shrimpless shakedown cruise to Blake Island.
As usual, we will anchor or grab available buoys on the west side of the island. We will utilize one of the picnic/camping spots as our base on shore for our Saturday evening meal. Please plan on bringing your own protein and a dish to share.
Bring your hiking shoes for Sunday as there is always a group up for a walk over to Tillicum Village or a circumnavigation.
Looking forward to seeing at least 10 boats this year!!
