Dinghy racing will be on Friday evenings at 6pm starting Friday, April 9. There will be two 5-weeks series and then a 7-week series, taking us up to the end of July (Club, 5-Race Series). Lasers, Vanguard 15’s & Opti’s welcome! After the races each week, we’ll gather at the clubhouse for pizza or burgers. It would be great if someone would volunteer to help organize the food…collecting money, ordering pizza, etc.
The races are the most fun with lots of boats on the water. And, you have a better chance of winning if you show up every week. I’ll send out the results each week so you can see where you stand.
If your boat has been sitting outside all winter, it probably needs some attention before you can race it. We will have a Boat Cleaning and Rigging Party on Wednesday, April 7. Come down to the club around 6 to clean your boat and rig it once to make sure you still have all the parts. I’ll bring the V-15 tuning guide for anyone who needs to tune up their boat.
