The Friday night weather just doesn’t seem to be cooperating. We only had 3 Roslyn Webber/Alejandro Gil: 24 The week before, we had a bigger turnout of 7 [...] We started a new series last Friday with a record turnout in the Vanguard 15’s…9 boats. We could use a few more lasers though. Let’s get them off the dock and in the water on Friday nights! Tad and Joyce Lhamon ran the races and did a great job of keeping things moving while setting interesting [...] The first 5-week dinghy racing series concluded on May 7. The racing was very close this week with only 2 points separating 1st from 4th in the final standings. Six Vanguards and 2 lasers sailed 4 races in a northerly that looked promising but gradually died. Almost everyone ran aground at some point; a few of [...] We got in 5 races on Friday night as the wind shifted 180 degrees with very localized puffs and big lulls. It was an interesting night! Thank you to the race committee, Randy Mather, for keeping the races moving and finding us the breeze. Seven V-15s and 2 lasers made it out this week.
